What is the difference between rack-mounted UPS power rail installation and tower-mounted installation?

What is the difference between rack-mounted UPS power rail installation and tower-mounted installation? Rack-mounted UPS and tower-mounted UPS are both uninterruptible power supplies mainly used in data center computer rooms. In addition to the difference in appearance, the two are also very different in terms of installation.

Although there are differences in installation between the two, there is not much difference in the overall installation steps between rack UPS and tower UPS.

The general process from discussing the size and quantity of the rack-mounted UPS with the customer to the installation is that the user first actually measures the size of the installation site, and then the manufacturer draws a detailed drawing of the installation of the rack-mounted UPS to facilitate more planning and drawing during construction. After the drawings are prepared, the equipment is ready to be installed. After the equipment is prepared, the equipment is transported to the installation site and then installed. Next, the editor will briefly introduce the general installation steps of the lithium battery UPS:

UPS power supply

When choosing a location to install the UPS, the following points should be considered:

l Do not place the UPS on flammable building materials.

l Dust on the equipment may affect the performance of the UPS.

l The ambient temperature should be between 0°C and 40°C to ensure optimal operation.

l For normal operation, please use a cable that meets the specifications.

Battery connection

Note: For operational safety and regulatory requirements, an independent DC overcurrent protector or disconnect device must be installed between the battery and the UPS. Some applications may not require this type of disconnect device, but overcurrent protection must still be installed. Please refer to the amperage regulations in the table below, and select a fuse or circuit breaker with the appropriate specifications.
